No doubt, Charlie Rose show is my favorite way to keep my brain alive while i'm working in my little room, no matter if its a student dormitory in London, my parents home in Lithuania or my current location - a flat in the 10th floor in one of those soviet-era buildings in Moscow. You can find a lot of flattering words about this show, for example USA Today calls Charlie Rose, “TV's most addictive talk show.” New York Newsday says, “Charlie's show is the place to get engaging, literate conversation... Bluntly, he is the best interviewer around today.” and I agree with all that.
The best thing is that this show puts all videos online at
www.charlierose.com and those videos include short interviews about politics and etc., but my favorites are those 40min-1 hour long interviews with people from almost all possible fields - beginning with journalist Christopher Hitchens and ending with google CEO Eric Schmitz, as well as actor Bill Nighy, designer Tibor Kalman, painter Chuck Close, presidents Clinton, Obama, or even Ahmedinejad. I love how international this show is - it goes way beyond USA. The archive is massive - type any famous name in the search field of
www.charlierose.com and its 95% possibility that you'll find that person interviewed by Charlie.
