Can't sit on a chair still when this plays but can't turn it off too. for a long time haven't seen a music video that I would enjoy watching repeatedly all day long. Inspiring song, great acting and dancing by Aaron Johnson, and just there is something very very cool in this video that makes me move, forget all the small stresses of daily life and focus on what I'm really chasing after in my life :) I needed this.

Lovely new stop-motion ad directed by Sean Pecknold for BBC Knowledge. This was shot in-camera and in sequence from beginning to end. Trendy colourful shapes so popular these days in illustration or graphic design as well as in motion design, finally look appropriate with a context (children audience) in this animation. I loved the way how one scene naturally merges with the next one in a surreal but somehow logical manner.

And these are some older work directed by Sean. Two of my favorites - "Grizzly Bear - While You Wait For The Others" and of course the one with a lot of flying triangles and other cut-out paper shapes "Fleet Foxes - Mykonos". While studying at BHSAD (Moscow) and Kingston University (UK) I've used stills from these animations as references in almost every sketchbook of every project. Smart, very well designed, surreal, inspiring.
